Not only I suffer from PTSD but now I have to take more responsibilities and suffer more each day for the rest of my life? Thanks but no thanks, I'd rather be a manchild and enjoy life of comfortable survival, there's no reward for endurance just 'cause you endure it.

we often prefer to be pure potential. we convince ourselves that we could be whatever we want to be, but don’t actively work to actually be something. we just comfort ourselves with the idea that we could be something if we wanted to.

Okay, bro, you actually need therapy. It was good until you said that the mother would only care for her children if they took care of her. Nature doesn't work like that. Your aging parent is absolutely just as much your responsibility as you were your mother's responsibility. It's not the communities responsibility for sure. But because you take this position, your children will one day say this to you in your darkest, loneliest hours. The last you will ever have.

Analogy thinking act as technical analysis and first principle act as fundamental analysis, for fast but uncertain outcomes go with analogy thinking, but for certain but slow, go with first principle thinking, both are great in their own way. But remember both way of thinking does not promise desired outcome

There is something wrong or I don't understand something... It seems to me as it works only one way; i.e. you can dissect complex ideas into sets of first principles. But you cannot do it in reverse; you can't always get the good complex idea by combining first principles because it leads to a composition fallacy.

One way I got over caring about what other people think about me is that I know it is never guaranteed to manage to change one's mind. I just let them think whatever they want to think about me, because there would be at least one person that could see my good traits.

I've had instances in my life where I'd get banned from some group permanently, with no chance of appeal, all because a bunch of shittalkers complained behind my back saying I was making them "uncomfortable". I wasn't even harassing anyone or blatantly being an obnoxious asshole knowing the consequences, yet said consequences still happened anyway. The shittalkers played the victim over me simply being myself.

In my understanding of Nietzsche and how I personally see things, it seems to me that you are talking about combating laziness in order to be productive, instead of being in comfort so you can be in comfort later and thus avoid discomfort. It seems that this reflection is biased because work is there to lead to another comfort, longer and more serene. My understanding would be rather to appreciate discomfort and difficulty for what they are, not for what they will bring us later

I think this is beautiful and applicable for some. I also believe there’s a way with the current collective consciousness on our planet to live with purpose without sacrifice. Learning through sacrifice has for millennials been the main way of learning but this is changing. 🩷

I dont have to be useful for the world. Thats just greedy of it, but wait.. so are we in manipulating each other into thinking ones thoughts. Just start to make your own reflections of what you perceive as reality and evaluate what is worth evaluating, as well as to stop. When it is worth to take in the moment or to take it out (all the way(and further..)).

you still need to follow 10000 steps before you can walk beside the master. a map of a farm will do enough to service most needs for half a lifetime. what use is geological knowledge of 1000 years from now? current mathematicians pursue pure math which deals with Nth dimensional things and astrophysicists chase parallel universes or the unfathomably small. it's a vain, pointless pursuit.

What if he shame is a good thing? For example, the kid doesn’t feel shame as grown person, so he can show his gentiles, and he don’t feel shame. The grown person will not do that because he will feel shame. In this case shame it’s not a blocker of a good think. How do we know what is a good shame and what is bad shame? Maybe those shames that blocking us they’re actually making us to grow in the correct direction? How to we know?

Is Obsession with & Focus on the Self more of a modern day economic tool ? A Corporate has the legal rights of an individual, & Selfishness & Greed feed the Economy ! Isn`t Stoicism more in line with the ` No Separation ` idea of Buddha & Christ ( Self is an illusion / Everything is One with ` God ` ) ; Stoicism advocates for the expansion of the self, in which we not only understand, but feel a sense of kinship with all living things. This stoic concept, in which we expand our sense of self to encompass others, is called Oikeiôsis.

You went many miles too far, specially when you said porn junk food and videogames. Not only a HUGE generalization but also... First of all junk food, this one we all know it's only bad in excess so you can have your ocassional cheeseburger, well videogames are no difference, as long as they don't take more time than you're giving them, it's fine to play videogames as a hobby, kinda like drawing, or playing chess, or hearing music. Porn is kinda bad tbh, but it is not something you want to get stuck on SPECIALLY as a teenager, since your hormones are peaking it'll be really hard to stop it so just try to tone it down a little if you can and you'll be fine. Don't get your mind on this
